Brazilian Portuguese course - Beginner level

This course is a beginner level course in Brazilian Portuguese and requires no prior knowledge of the language. Level Beginners provides the foundation for the language program and focuses on basic greetings, personal information, expressing yourself and introductory grammatical structure. Furthermore, you will also be introduced to elements of the Portuguese culture.

Portuguese genre
Talking about likes and dislikes
Present Tense of some regular/irregular verbs

Brazilian Portuguese - Level 1

Brazilian Portuguese 101 is the second course in the first year program. Level 101 is suitable for those who have completed Brazilian Portuguese Beginner level or who have completed 20 hours of recent face-to-face tuition. The content will further expand on the previous term’s work to develop more complex ways of expressing yourself, making reservations and talking about daily activities while further advancing your grammatical and alphabetical understanding.

Tutor profile:
Erminia Monteiro holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Brazilian Portuguese languages and literature from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She has over ten years teaching experience in Brazilian Portuguese and English languages gained both in Australia and overseas. She also holds a Certificate in TESOL Blended Learning. Erminia has taught Brazilian Portuguese at the University of Sydney to people of all ages and different language backgrounds and employs the latest teaching methodology in order to help students achieve their goals more effectively in the target language.
