About
Peixe
Peixe's recent achievement in 2004 is the highest belt
of capoeira, the black belt, from the founders of Capoeira Brasil and guests
(Master Acordeon, Master Antonio Vargas, Master
Lobão, Master Peixinho, MAster Gato, Master Hulk, Master Rã,
Master Ramos, Master Cabeça, MAster Indio, Master Girino, Master
Naval, Master Mão Branca, Master Paulão and Master Boneco).
André
Cerutti was given his capoeira nickname by his Mestre Boneco at his first
grading. The name Peixe Ensaboado means 'slippery fish'.
Peixe
was born in Rio de Janeiro, 25 January 1969, Brazil and began his training
with Mestre Boneco in 1985. Prior to this he had trained
in a number of martial arts, but found Capoeira captured his attention
after watching a display by Mestre Boneco.
Since
1992, after joining his family in Australia Peixe hoped
to train Australians in the same way as he was trained in Brazil. From
small beginnings, hundred of people have been introduced through
Peixe. some of these have gone on to quality as instructors and
teachers and continued to work with Peixe under the banner
of Group Capoeira Brasil.
Peixe
has contributed much to the standard of Capoeira in Australia, has brought
many of the great masters to his group in Australia and given many demonstrations,
festival performances, workshops and television apperances.
